Tip Poland – Wales

For the first time since 2009, Poland and Wales will face off, after the two countries were drawn in Group 4 of League A of the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League. Poland hosts this fixture in Wroclaw and looking to give it a good start and their scoring run should come with a lot of belief. They’ve scored in each of their last 10 matches; in six of them, two or more goals. However, in seven of their last 10 matches they have failed to keep clean sheets. Their loss to Hungary at home remains their only defeat in the last five matches at their backyard. They’ve scored in each of their last five matches at home and two of the last three have produced clean sheets while three of five have ended in over 2.5 goals

The Welsh are also coming into this game on the back of a good run; they last lost in the Euro 2020, a 4-0 reverse at the hands of Denmark. Since then, they’ve gone of a nine-game unbeaten run but five of those nine matches were draws. They’ve scored in each of their last five but in their last four matches they have no clean sheets. Twice in the last five, their games have ended in over 2.5 goals. Wales are also in line for a final playoff game for the 2022 World Cup qualification, where they’ll meet either Ukraine or Scotland, and they will be looking to keep their unbeaten run going. They haven’t tasted defeat in four away games either, though this will be a much stronger opponent.

This game pits two sides with good runs but Poland will go in it as the favorites. It is long since they last faced Wales but they have a history of domination in this fixture, and the added advantage of playing at home. Just like Wales, Poland go into this game with a good scoring run, and we will back both teams to score, but a Poland win.
