Four matches into the second phase of the Argentinian topflight, Atletico Tucuman and Godoy Cruz are tied at six points apiece, ahead of their face off on Tuesday. Nothing separates them so far in the league standings, as they both have a +1 goal difference, and placed 13th and 14th. It is so congested down there though, and three points here could see the winner rise up to third. Tucuman are coming from a home loss to Independiente in the Copa Libertadores. In their last six matches they have scored more than a goal in just one game and five of their last six games have produced under 2.5 goals.

Godoy Cruz haven’t been very consistent in their recent matches, but still take to this game a run better than Atletico Tucuman’s. Unlike their hosts, Godoy have only failed to score once in their last five matches. Going into this game, they have scored two in three of the last five matches and have two clen sheets in those five games. They are coming from a 2-1 win over Defensa y Justicia, a game in which they had to rise from a goal down. It is however their away from that will form the bulk of their concerns here. They are winless in the last six away matches, losing four of them and in four of the six, they’ve conceded two or more goals. Still, they will go into the game on a strong footing, backed by a good scoring run. Godoy have failed to score in only one of their last 10 away matches, even though they’ve won just two of them.
