Norwich City are bottom of the Premier League and look doomed to another relegation. They host 14th placed Newcastle United and nothing but a win will do for them. The weekend saw a valiant fightback at Old Trafford still see them lose 3-2 to Manchester United. After the games on Wednesday April 20, the gap between City and safety is now eight points but virtually nine because of their appalling goal difference. They will hope that Everton lose to Liverpool and a win over Newcastle will keep them alive a little bit longer. Norwich have only won three home league games this season and lost ten times. Just 12 league goals have been scored with 31 conceded. To be fair, their relegation has looked likely since the season began. They had lost three home league games in a row before beating relegation rivals Burnley 2-0. Four of their last five home Premier League goals at Carrow Road have been scored by Pukki.

Newcastle had a last gasp 2-1 home win over Leicester City at the weekend. That was followed up by another home win, this time beating Crystal Palace 1-0. They are up to 11th in the table and only outside the top ten on goal difference. A form guide for the last 15 Premier League games has them in the top three as they have climbed 15 points above the bottom three they were in for so long. Home form is good but they still need to work on results on the road. Newcastle have only won three away league games this season and only scored 13 goals. Their last three away league games have all ended in defeat with no goals in the last two. The confidence of two wins this week should do them the power of good. A double chance bet on them to win or draw is suggested.
